Todd Ague plays keyboards and covers backing and some lead vocals for Band X. In addition to working with Band X, Todd performs nationally with jazz guitar legend Grant Green, Jr. and Jim Asbell & the Tropiholics - a band he co-founded.
Todd grew up in metro Detroit and was heavily influenced by Motown, R&B and Heartland Rock. As co-founder of the award-winning rock and soul/R&B group Jeff Scott & The Big Picture, he gained experience at a young age touring to support the band’s album - opening for a number of national acts, including Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Eddie Money, and Richard Marx.
Todd has shared the stage with some of the world’s best musicians, including saxophonists Branford Marsalis and Skip Pruitt, guitarist Earl Klugh, drummers Bernard Purdie and Lil’ John Roberts, Greg "Fingers" Taylor (harmonica), keyboardist Mo Pleasure, bassists Khari Cabral Simmons and Gary Grainger, and accordionist Flaco Jimenez. He has extensive live or studio performance experience with musicians in international acts that include:
